Position Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Web Engineer, Sr. to join our growing team and play a key role in developing the next stage in Nightingale online experiences. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software applications using a variety of tools including Go, Python, HTMX, Django, and SQL. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to contribute to innovative projects, collaborate with a diverse team, and shape the future of Nursing and our Nursing technology.

Essential Function and Responsibilities:

  • Develop web applications, adhering to best practices and industry standards.
  • Lead by example by writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
  • Utilize SQL to effectively manage and manipulate data within applications.
  • Collaborate with designers, other engineers to bring concepts to life.
  • Lead and participate in all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Identify and resolve bugs and technical issues in software applications.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Stay up to date on the latest technologies and trends.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
  • Proven experience in developing web applications using various tools and languages.
  • Previous experience leading code reviews.
  • Proficiency in different web programming languages.
  • Proficiency in Python, Go, SQL, HTML, and CSS.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for new technology and a desire to contribute to its advancement in web applications.
  • Proficiency with GitHub.
  • Worked in/with Agile development methodologies.
  • Previous remote work experience.
  • Experience with UI/UX design principles.
  • Primeagen knowledge.

All new hires are required to attend New Collaborator Orientation (NCO) in Salt Lake City, Utah. The College will pay for travel and lodging accommodations.
